Marutamaya has displayed its fireworks in almost every part of the world; at festivals, national day celebrations, exhibits and competitions. Since 1951 we have held more than 200 fireworks displays in 47 countries. Our record in competition is outstanding. In Japan, we won top honors at the Sumida River fireworks competition. In 1985, Marutamaya Marutamaya won first place over entrants from eight countries at the First World Fireworks Competition in Montreal, Canada. Our fireworks were highly praised for their beauty and force at the 1984 Los Angels Olympics and the July 4, 1986 celebration in New York for the 100th Anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. We're proud of our record, for which we've received many awards. We provide displays of the latest in pyrotechnics at the PL fireworks show in Osaka, the world's largest show with the greatest variety, and for the displays at Tokyo Disneland.

One of the Oldest in the World
Dreams come to life in Marutamaya fireworks. Marutamaya started building its pyrotechnic world in the 17th century. By the early 18th century, fireworks were first being used for entertainment. fireworks gained enormous popularity in the subsequent years of Japan's Edo era. During those years, the Ogatsu family made fireworks which wereb praised for their excellence. It was this experience which was the fountion for the createtion of Marutamaya. Marutamaya is now a world leader in Fireworks. At our Ibaraki and Yamanashi factories, skilled pyrotechnicians use a combination of modern and centuries-old techniques to hand-craft each fireworks. The world's fireworks users recognize our high standards of quality and safety as well as our low prices.
